The Village House is in a traditional peasant house, which was built in the 20th century and is located on Templom street. The building was purchased by the local government and then furnished as the village’s museum. Consequently, a long-awaited dream came true, since the previously collected, derelict, threadbare objects, old furniture, clothes and photographs finally found their own home.
The Village House was inaugurated in 1955 as a part of the Saint Ladislaw Week celebrations, with the aim of preserving the fading village-peasant past memories. In May 2015, assigned by Mogyoród Nagyközség Önkormányzata and the Mogyoród Turisztikai és Településfejlesztő Kft., a professional, ethnographical work in the Village House. 2015 májusában Mogyoród Nagyközség Önkormányzata és a Mogyoród Turisztikai és Településfejlesztő Kft. megbízásából elkezdődött egy szakmai, néprajzos munka a Faluházban.
The age and condition of the peasant house demanded the renovation and restoration of the building in parallel to the furnishment of the museum. Consequently, the linoleum floor of kitchen was replaced by brick, and the walls were repaired and repainted and the old tálas was also reconstructed. Obviously, the masters were focused on preserving the original values and conditions. In 2016, the Village House was honoured with becoming a venue of the “Turista Érem Mozgalom”.2016-ban a Faluházat az a megtiszteltetés érte, hogy bekerült a „Turista Érem Mozgalom” helyszínei közé.
